Welcome To Pike Bay Lodge On Beautiful Lake Vermillion |
|
Nestled on the Southeast shore of Lake Vermillion, Pike Bay Lodge is your Northern getaway for everything from fishing, hiking, golfing, snowmobiling, shopping, and anything in between. If its fishing you like then grab your boat or rent one of ours and bring plenty of gear. You'll be fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Crappies, Sunfish and more. Book our lake guide for a full or half day or you and your family and friends can explore the more than 40,000 acres of water with 1,200 miles of shoreline and 365 islands - all surrounded by beautiful blue fresh water. If you would rather get out for some shopping or you want to learn more about the great Iron Range area, there will always be something for you to do during your stay at Pike Bay Lodge! Visit the Soudan Underground Mine State Park and tour the depths of Minnesota's first mine. Visit the Ironworld Discovery Center where the history of Minnesota Mining is detailed in every aspect. When your ready for some shopping we can help there as well. Just a short drive from the resort and you'll be dancing around the shops in Ely. From clothing and sporting goods to antiques and furniture - the shops will seem endless. When your ready to relax from your daily stresses, you can sit back and enjoy the quiet wilderness while reading a book or sit by the fire as you peer out over the beautiful shoreline. The only decision you need to make is whether you are going to stay in one of our original rustic cabins built for mining and banking industrialist A.B. Coates or you prefer one of our newly built cabins completed in 2006. All of our cabins have complete bedrooms including all linens, full kitchen or kitchenettes with all cooking and eating utensils and microwaves for that quick meal before you head out for your next adventure. Some cabins have a dishwasher and fireplace, and all have a charcoal grill and access to a fire pit for roasting marshmallows with the kids. We have a sand swimming area as well as a large public sand swimming area just a short distance by car or boat. Rent one of our pontoon's for the day and you will quickly appreciate how relaxing life can be while you sit back and travel around one of Minnesota's most beautiful lakes. The lake is well marked so while getting lost may be something you want to do, your day on the lake will be worry free. |
